Every18 (“we,” “us”) operates the website at every18.com and the Every18 Golf app for iOS and Android. This page explains what information each one collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The website and the app work differently, so they are described separately below.

The Every18 Golf app

We do not collect personal information through the app. There is no account to create and no sign-in. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software, and the current version does not display ads or offer purchases.

Location

If you ask the app to sort courses by distance, it asks your device for permission to use your location while the app is open. Your location is used on your device to calculate distances and order the list. It is never sent to us, stored on our servers, or shared with anyone. You can decline the request and keep using the app, and you can change the permission at any time in your device settings.

Information stored on your device

Courses you mark as played or want-to-play, your appearance and units preferences, and a cache of course data are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Information sent over the network

Like any app that loads content, the app makes web requests:

It downloads course, ranking, gear, and game data from every18.com.
It checks for app updates from Expo’s update service (u.expo.dev), which we use to ship fixes without a store release.

As with any web request, those servers receive your device’s IP address and basic technical information such as your platform and app version. That information is used to deliver the content and keep the service running. It is not used to build a profile of you, and the app sends no other information about you or your activity.

Links out of the app

Some screens link to pages on every18.com or to Amazon. Those open in your device’s browser, and once you leave the app the privacy policy of the site you land on applies. See the affiliate disclosure below.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

The every18.com website

Information we collect

You do not need an account to browse Every18, and we do not ask you to submit personal information to use the site. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized usage such as which pages are viewed and general geographic region. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.

Cookies and advertising

On the website we use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, measure traffic, and display advertising served by Google. The app does none of this.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Every18 and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Affiliate disclosure

Every18 participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Some gear and equipment links on the website and in the app are affiliate links; if you buy through them we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our editorial ratings or course information.

Your choices

On the website, you can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized ads using the links above. In the app, you can decline or revoke the location permission in your device settings, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
