How to play

Agree what counts as a bad hole for each player (double bogey for better players, bogey for higher handicaps) and a payout. Any time a player follows a bad hole with a par or better on the next hole, they collect the bounce-back from the others. A bigger bonus applies for a birdie, and consecutive bad holes can carry a penalty.

Scoring

Fixed amount per bounce back (e.g. $1-$2) paid by each other player; optional double for a birdie and a penalty for back-to-back bad holes.

Variations

  • Team version in best-ball matches
  • Tiered thresholds by handicap
  • House rules vary; adjust to your group

Tips

  • Reset mentally after a blow-up; it is now an opportunity
  • Set thresholds fairly across abilities
  • Pairs well with Nassau junk

Turns a triple bogey into a chance to win money on the next tee.
