Dots (Junk / Garbage)
Also called Dots (Junk / Garbage / Trash), Trash, Dot Game
Umbrella game that bundles many achievement bets into points ('dots') settled at the end.
Side Bets & Junk
Also called Bear, Skunk, Chimpanzee (lost ball)
Penalty animal for going out of bounds; passes to the next offender.
In the UK 'carry the can' funnies, the Gorilla (or Bear) is awarded to a player who hits out of bounds and transfers to the next player who does; it is carried until the end of the round like the Snake or Camel. Some US groups use 'gorilla' for a lost ball or, informally, for the longest drive; confirm your group's meaning.
One point per OB is added to the pot; the holder at the end pays the agreed value to each opponent, or each point is settled as a negative dot. In the Zoo game the equivalent is the Skunk (OB) or Chimpanzee/Gorilla (lost ball), typically $5 per animal held.
Nobody wants to walk into the bar carrying the gorilla.
