How to play

On holes 1 and 2 hit a draw on every full shot; on holes 3 and 4 hit a fade; keep alternating in pairs through 18. Play a normal score alongside the shape requirement. Advanced players alternate every hole or even every shot. Because it takes extra time, play it when the course is quiet.

Scoring

Track two numbers: your stroke score and how many shots actually curved the intended way. A simple version awards 1 point per successful shape and totals them; try to beat your previous percentage.

Variations

  • Alternate every hole instead of every two
  • Alternate draw/fade shot by shot
  • High/low trajectory version

Tips

  • Aim at a specific target, not just a direction
  • Skip the shape requirement on wedges inside 100 yards if you like
  • Excellent pre-tournament course-management practice

Makes a practice round feel like a shot-making exam.
