Dots (Junk / Garbage)
Also called Dots (Junk / Garbage / Trash), Trash, Dot Game
Umbrella game that bundles many achievement bets into points ('dots') settled at the end.
Side Bets & Junk
Also called Hogies, Perfecto, Jones (birdie version)
Reward for hitting the fairway and the green in regulation on the same hole.
Named for Ben Hogan's precision. In the most common junk version you earn a Hogan by hitting the fairway AND the green in regulation on a par 4 or 5 (some groups add 'and one-putt' or 'and make par').
1 dot per Hogan; some groups score it as 2 points, with 4 points for a 'Jones', the same feat with a birdie. A stand-alone Hogans points game awards 1 point each for fairway hit, GIR, and closest to the pin after a GIR, with carryovers when two players match. Some groups add a one-putt requirement.
Pays the straight hitter who never gets a sandie or barkie.
