Dots (Junk / Garbage)
Also called Dots (Junk / Garbage / Trash), Trash, Dot Game
Umbrella game that bundles many achievement bets into points ('dots') settled at the end.
Side Bets & Junk
Also called Polies (Poley / Polee / Pinnie), Poley, Polee, Pinnie, Flaggie, Flagstick bet
Hole a putt longer than the flagstick (or stick an approach inside flagstick length).
Two related bets: a Poley is won by holing a putt longer than the length of the flagstick (roughly 7 feet); a Polee/Pinnie is won by hitting an approach (often from 100-150+ yards) that finishes inside one flagstick length of the hole. Lay the flagstick down to measure.
1 dot or unit from each opponent. In the automatic version, a holed poley scores +2, a two-putt 0, and a three-putt -2; in the invoked version you call 'Poley' first, win 1 unit if holed, and lose double if you three-putt. Some groups score it as a Flaggie worth 1 point, with a Super Flaggie (over 50 feet) worth 3 points. Definitions vary: some groups play the approach-inside-the-flagstick version, while others play the long-putt version.
