Also called Sharks (Fishies / Splashies), Sharkies, Splashies, Cousteau, Water save
Hit into water and still make par or better.
If any shot on a hole finishes in a penalty area (water) and you still make par, you win a shark. Groups of two to four agree a value beforehand; rarely won, so it is almost always bundled with barkies, arnies and chippies in a junk game.
1 unit from each opponent; some groups make it 2 points, reflecting its rarity. Higher handicappers may be allowed bogey as the target. Note the separate bets called 'Fish' (three birdie bets) and 'Fishies/Flags' (a strokes-allotment survival game) that share the name.
The most improbable par of the day gets paid.
