Run the course with a few clubs; your score is strokes plus minutes.
Carry up to seven clubs (many use four: driver or hybrid, mid-iron, wedge, putter) and run between shots. Start the clock on the first tee and stop it when the last putt drops. No caddies or carts, no provisional balls, and lost balls cost one stroke with a drop on the line of flight. It is almost always played alone or as a staggered-start event.
Speedgolf score = strokes + minutes. Shooting 96 in 65:17 is 161.17; competitive amateurs land around 140-160 and the world record is 107.15 (65 strokes in 42:15). Try to lower both halves of the number over time.
